STRAIGHT FORWARD MUSIC

Straight Forward Music is one of the world’s leading independent music companies — built on creative instinct, global reach, and an unwavering commitment to developing artists who define culture rather than follow it. SFM has worked with some of the world’s most iconic artists, musicians, producers, and DJs, playing a key role in developing and elevating globally recognised talent. We specialise in artist development, A&R, content curation and distribution, music production, marketing, brand partnerships, as well as catalogue asset management and acquisition.

Founded in 2011 by Dani Stephenson, Straight Forward Group has achieved 11 Grammy nominations, including 2 Grammy wins, as well as an Emmy Award for the Kobe Bryant TNT special. Alongside multiple Billboard and BRIT Award successes, this track record positions the group as a global leader in its field. In 2018, Straight Forward Recordings, an imprint of Straight Forward Music, entered into a worldwide exclusive joint venture with Universal Music Group to develop a roster of global artists while providing A&R services. Among its notable successes is producer Nevada, whose debut single “The Mack” featuring Fetty Wap and Mark Morrison amassed over 400 million streams globally and sold more than 2 million singles. Nevada’s additional credits include official remixes for Ed Sheeran (“Castle on the Hill”), Charli XCX (“Boys”), and Liam Payne (“Strip That Down”). Commenting on the partnership, Virgin EMI’s President Ted Cockle stated: “Dani’s energy could light up a city. He sees no borders in music and is constantly driven to create and discover global hit records.”

The company also developed the career of London-based producer Nana Rogues, who produced major releases for artists including Section Boyz, Tinie Tempah, and Anne-Marie. He also produced two tracks on Drake’s More Life (“Skepta Interlude” and the global hit “Passionfruit”), as well as “Don’t Matter to Me” featuring Michael Jackson on Drake’s album Scorpion. The album went on to break global streaming records, achieving over 300 million streams within its first 24 hours across platforms, marking one of the largest single-day streaming debuts in history.

OUR ETHOS

01

Go Against the Grain

We don’t follow trends — we set them. Our approach challenges the conventions of a traditional music company, finding new ways to develop artists and create value in a constantly changing industry.
02

Think Without Borders

Music has no geography. We operate across 42 territories and approach every project with a global perspective.
03

Create Culture

We don’t simply participate in popular culture — we strive to create it. Every artist we work with, every release we develop, every campaign we execute is driven by the ambition to leave a lasting mark.
